Frequently Asked Questions
2
Do you groom nervous or anxious cats?
1
Yes — many of the cats we work with are sensitive, older or nervous around grooming. Leila & Co takes a calm, patient approach and works at your cat’s pace to help create the most positive experience possible.
Can you groom cats with matting?
3
Yes — we can assist with mat removal where appropriate. However, if a cat is severely matted, we may recommend grooming under sedation within a veterinary clinic environment.
Extensive matting can be uncomfortable, stressful and sometimes painful for cats. Because cats also have very delicate skin, sedation within a veterinary setting is sometimes the safest and kindest option for heavily matted coats.
Do I need to be home during the groom?
4
Yes — for cat grooming appointments we ask that owners are home and available if needed during the appointment.
What areas do you service for cat grooming?
We currently provide cat grooming services across Richmond to Motueka, including Mapua, the Moutere Hills and surrounding Tasman areas.
